Shell, Engen, TotalEnergies, Indian Oil: same price
Four brands share the Mauritian network: Shell (operated locally by Vivo Energy), Engen, TotalEnergies and Indian Oil. Because the State Trading Corporation sets the retail price for the whole island, a litre costs exactly the same in Port Louis, Grand Baie or the most remote southern village. There is nothing to compare: fill up at whichever station is on your route. An attendant serves you, cards are widely accepted, and stations are scarcer in the wild south, so leave with a full tank.
